Antar falls in love with his cousin Abla, who loves him back, while her uncle refuses this marriage and wants to marry her to another handsome young man named Omara. To get rid of him, her uncle asks for a huge dowry of one hundred red she-camels which only exist in the land of the Ghassanids (on the outskirts of Sham) at King Al-Nu'man.
